Our table linen range is inspired by Ancient Greek mosaics and architecture, handmade using the age old craft and tradition of hand block printing in Rajasthan. Bring a touch of colour and culture to your table this holiday season!
Option 1 - Experiment with colours, patterns and prints
- Don’t be afraid of colour - you can use a cohesive colour scheme by combining different shades of the same colour or by putting together complimentary colours
- Mix and match patterns on your table cloth, napkins, and plates
For our first dinner table setting we used Indikon’s table linen inspired by pebble mosaics of Pella, Greece, and hand painted red floral plates from @valsahomeOption 2 - Reuse linens from your closet and make the table festive with accents
-
Create a beautiful table setting with what you already have in your cupboards and closets
- Invest in good quality table linen which you can reuse and pull out throughout the year, rather than just once a year
- Get creative with natural elements such as pine cones, foliage from your garden, or branches from your christmas tree
For the second table setting we are reusing the Indikon table cloth we used for our last year’s Christmas table, combining florals and stripes. Our centre piece - branches from our Christmas tree surrounding our signature hand blown glass pomegranates from Greece available at the Indikon Shop.
Option 3 - Get festive with your napkin folds
- Get creative with your napkin folds, you can fan fold, envelope fold, or even roll them up and tie them with a sprig of greenery
- Focus on finding a centre piece, your hero decor item that you will decorate around
- Use seasonal fruits and vegetables from your fridge as decoration to add colour to your table - you can use ingredients off your menu as a sneak peak of what’s to come for dinner
For today’s table setting we decided to go for a more earthy and natural vibe. We ditched the classic table cloth and used Indikon’s Lekythos runners as place mats, exposing the beautiful wooden grain of our table. For our centre piece we used the paloma candle stand from @patrimonio_inmaterial - trust us, it’s a conversation starter. We decorated the table with walnuts and pomegranates to add some colour and combined them with hand painted plates from @valsahome . The final touch - Indikon’s Kokinno napkins folded into bows.Option 4 - Keep it simple and classic
- Choose a menu that’s delicious but does not require all day prep, pre-make as much as you can and don’t hesitate to rely on your local bakeries for dessert
- Signature cocktails are great way to add a personal touch and don’t forget to bring out the bubbly for midnight
-
Our biggest guiding factor - it’s all about the people you gather around your dining table! We decided to keep the table setting simple and elegant
For this classic table setting we relied on winter greens as our base colours, we kept the lighting soft with loads of candles, and adding an extra touch of sparkle with crystal and Christofle. We ofcourse added our Indikon essentials and this time opted for the olive branch linen table runners and the lakeer napkins to decorate the table.
As the holiday season approaches, let your table be a reflection of your warmth, love, and personality!
