From Asia to Europe, connecting cultures through coffee

From Asia to Europe, connecting cultures through coffee

We recently did a photoshoot with Naga Speciality Coffee, one of our favourite speciality coffee brands in Belgium and we couldn't be happier with the results. Run by coffee enthusiasts, Qinyi and Ludo, Naga Coffee brings together their love for fine coffee and the rich Asian culture that they experienced through their travels. Naga coffee shines a spotlight onto Southeast Asian specialty coffee in an industry that is often too focused on Central Africa and Latin America. By procuring their coffee beans from small independent coffee farms from across Asia, they support the local coffee industry and often focus on telling the story of the relationship that these countries have with coffee. They focus on quality fair trade coffee from Asia, which is then roasted in Belgium. Obviously this blend of coffee grown in Asia and roasted in Europe spoke to our cross-cultural inspired brand and we had to reach out to plan a photoshoot.

Their brand is rooted in nature - ensuring that the customer is made aware of the origin of their coffee. Inspired by a mythological creature usually associated with guardian of nature, water and earth fertility, Naga is a divine serpentine who plays an important role in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Southeast Asian folklore. Their story telling often depicts stories from these cultures and religions.Photographed by Alexandra, we used our Indikon table linen to compliment your daily coffee ritual, whether it be for breakfast, midday coffee pickup or a sneaky after meal espresso. Our personal favourite coffee? Their coffee from Papua New Guinea. Dark, delicious and so beautifully packaged.
